Give these bicep/tricep variations a go! I dare ya😈
1️⃣: Smith bicep curls - this variation allows a focused bicep squeeze, proper range of motion, and a still body position allowing no swinging or cheating.
2️⃣: Seated incline ez-bar curls- focus on slow and control reps on the way down, then explosive on the way up. Again, being in a seating incline allows only the bicep muscles to be worked without cheating.
3️⃣: Single-arm cable preacher curls- be sure to have your body positioned and turned to the side you’re working. This puts pure concentration on the bicep muscle being worked. Keep armpit tucked in the pad, and elbow in the centre.
4️⃣: Tricep cable pushdowns- this variation is great to throw in as a different burning sensation. This attachment works great for full extension, hitting all areas of the tricep.
5️⃣: Single-arm cable tricep kickbacks- perform this exercise with one knee on the bench, while the other one is on the ground. Another great variation to use instead of dumbbells.
6️⃣: Smith close-grip tricep press- this exercise works great as a floor press, rather than a bench press. It allows no cheating and can be best if going really heavy. Be sure to allow triceps to fully touch the ground, before pressing up again. The ground can be used as an assisted way of pushing up. .
