24 hours trip to Granada with a great travel mate, Delfina, completed! Though it started rather badly with a crazy blablacar driver and bedbugs in a hostel, we spent a lovely day walking around, eating tasty foods and making a session of pictures of the most famous viewpoint, Mirador de San Nicolas. #granada#alhambra#andalusiatravel#andalucia#erasmusspain #erasmuslife🌍
Perhaps there never was a monument more characteristic of an age and people than the Alhambra; a rugged fortress without, a voluptuous palace within; war frowning from its battlements; poetry breathing throughout the fairy architecture of its halls. ~ Tales of the Alhambra
I first visited Alhambra 31 years ago. I really can't believe that it's been that long! Once you have kids time seems to fly by and all of a sudden they're old enough to graduate high school and take fun trips like this. And I get to revisit my past. So fun!
I don't remember all of the specifics from that first trip to Alhambra but I do remember I was awed by that first visit. Today I could only marvel at all of the details that have gone into making it the incredible place that it still is. I loved all of the views of Granada from the palace as much as I loved the gardens and the walls that were pieces of artwork. I'm so glad that I got to share this with Alex. Yet another awesome day in Spain!
