Yep, that right there is the path we had to take to Hideaway Beach. I love that we can learn about new places to visit on IG. But, what I don't love, is that people rarely tell you about vthe difficulties you must face to reach those "hidden gem" locations.
After the steep and narrow climb down on slippery dirt and relying on questionable rope supports, we finally reached Hideaway Beach. (Okay, it wasn't THAT bad except for one specific spot. That one spot almost made us turn around and go back, though...) Wow, this was definitely worth the trek! This place was beautiful and not busy at all. It has fine sand, clear water, and a couple makeshift swings.
I only wish we planned for this better and brought our swimsuits and snorkel gear. Next time we'll bring those, and some better hiking shoes!
BTW, when we went, there wasn't any mud so be extra careful if you go visit here after it rains.
It looks like Kyle has less beer than me but best believe I finished mine first 🍻 #boatrace@coorslight
Happy Friday folks! It has been a crazy couple of weeks as I finish up my last week of summer school and get ready for the start of this new school year. Today, after my practicum training, I got lunch @freesoulcafe and ice cream @huglifeicecream with my pals. I get so easily caught in the hustle and bustle of things that I need to constantly remind myself to take some time for self-care, get some ice cream with friends, and hit the beach. Soaking up every ounce of this summer as much as I can. What do you do for self-care?
