I’ve talked about the bridge in a previous post on my blog titled “Inspiration and Creativity, Part 1” Inspiration is the non-material bridge between your life and the world you live in, and leads to creativity. And what a place to stand. If you want to read more, head over to my blog and don’t forget to comment with your thoughts.

Summer weather will come, I promise! ☀️
I hope that the gloomy LA weather hasn't been keeping you from enjoying all the fun activities that the city has to offer!
Hollywood Bowl will be hosting Santana concert tonight at 7pm. Should be a fun one after work! 🎫 ⭐
I thought since Diana Urban shared her long/hard publishing journey with you, I’d share this story... Me (old lady voice): Gather around kids... For real though, I signed Paul on this book-it had a different name but it was the exact book-in 2011. I sold it in 2017. It’s at ALA now, in 2019.
We sold other books from 2011-2017, so when Diana Urban suggests writing more-she’s dead on.
Please do consider hiring a freelance editor (it doesn’t have to be me-but it should hahahaha)! My grandma is a G... that’s why I call her GMom‼️ She’s just resting her eyes! 😂
You’ve all seen photos of my master bath reno, but I haven’t really given you the full story of where I started with the design, the original mood board and how the whole design process took a turn. This image from @homebunch was major inspiration in the beginning. Jump over to the blog (link in profile) if you are interested in the process and I’ll be doing a full reveal post later this week!

H I !!!! See that gal?? That’s my pretty friend @alliedolan HEHE. she is funny, kind, and always down for any CRAZY ideas that I have. I asked Allie, along with 2 of my other friends (bet ya can’t guess who!!) if they would be interested in writing a post for my blog. They immediately jumped on board and were willing to. The first post is from Allie. Not only is she all of the things that I listed above, but she loves Jesus more than anything. She is truly a light, even when times get rough (although, it isn’t always easy !!) Go and click the link in my bio to hear a little bit of what to do when your faith is tested, and remembering to trust God always !! ♡ ♡ ♡

Hello New Week 👋🏼
-30 tonos diferentes -larga duración -cobertura completa (efecto filtro)
-para todo tipo de pieles
-tapa rojeces e imperfecciones
#review#mexican#mexicangirl#mexicanblogger#beautyblog#blogpost#hudabeauty#makeuplover#makeupreviews #reseña
Cinematic Colour Series: Edward Scissorhands (1990) by Tim Burton.
Burton's films played a major role in encouraging my love for cinema and Edward Scissorhands is one of my favourite movies. The colour palette of the film varies between the two main settings: the idealistic pastel-coloured suburb and Edward's dark and cold mansion that overlooks it. While I could've focused on the latter's dreary colour palette, I instead chose shades based on the suburban scenes for two reasons.
Firstly, the colour palette of the suburb is based on pastel shades with hints of brighter colours. From the pink, green and yellow houses that contrast the darker yet perfectly-manicured lawns to the vibrant clothing that matches the paint on the various characters' houses, the suburb scenes make for a far more interesting eyeshadow palette. Secondly, I believe that the surbuban setting in Edward Scissorhands is, in fact, the true horror of film. This will probably make more sense if you've watched the film but placing an awkward and 'incomplete' creation like Edward in a seemingly utopic suburb with overly-bubbly characters create a weird and uneasy feeling.
Side note: I added Colourpop's Glass Bull (a blue-silver duochrome) to symbolize the snow at the end of the film. Have you watched Edward Scissorhands? Comment down below! #burgundyxcinematiccolourseries

I often get questions regarding where I purchase K-Beauty products so I thought I'd share my experiences ordering the products locally and internationally.
Local: there are quite a few South African K-Beauty online stores - Glow Theory, Philosophy Glow and Butterkup Beauty, to name a few. I usually order from Glow Theory because the online store stocks quite a few cult favourites. My orders usually arrive in 1-2 working days (shipping is R80) and the products are packaged in lovely, reusable pink packets. And the customer service is impeccable.
However, I sometimes order my K-Beauty products from YesStyle - an international online store - mainly because it's cheaper and YesStyle stocks hundreds of K-Beauty brands. I qualify for free international shipping if my order is above $35 and the products usually take around 2 to 3 weeks to arrive in SA (depending on the availability of the products). Unfortunately, SAPO takes forever to process international orders so I sometimes get my package 1-2 months after it arrives in SA.
So, YesStyle is cheaper and has a wider range of products but the waiting time is often long. Also, I have to pay customs (usually around R30 to R100 per $35 order). Despite these custom charges, it's still generally cheaper to order from YesStyle. When I order from local stores, the range of products/brands is usually limited, prices are sometimes a little higher and there's usually a shipping fee. But, the products arrive in less than 5 working days.
Hope this helps! If you have any questions, leave them down below!
💫 NEW BLOG POST ABOUT OPENING UP ABOUT MY HAIR LOSS AT MY FOREIGN INTERNSHIP AND SCHOOL IS ONLINE - LINK IN BIO 💫
We all make it such a big deal in our heads, when in reality most people are so, so supportive, like my internship and classmates at school. In my blog post you will read all about how supportive they were.
Fact: I was hesitant to post this picture as I feel like my arms look bigger and I always have these random bumps on my arms. But you know what? No need to be picture perfect. Being real is perfect enough.
Small shout out to my internship, as I am incredibly grateful for them. They welcomed me into their team and taught me so much. I truly believe every intern should be grateful to do their internship there. It was an amazing experience and it still is for the remaining 4 days. I am so lucky to have been there, I greatly expanded my knowledge, I met the sweetest people and I developed myself.
