👶I grew up as a kid going to @cagreatamerica for pretty much every school fieldtrip!! So surreal to be asked by them to blog about
their Taste of Orleans🦐 event hosted inside the park! 👉Who else grew up going to Great America?!👇
🍝🦐Taste of Orleans is probably the BEST time to go to @cagreatamerica, since they offer delicious Cajun cuisine, live music, and beautiful decor! For food, you use these tasting cards (good for 8 mini-dishes) which you can claim from 12 different menu items!
🤼My friends and I agreed that our favorites from the Cajun menu were the Gumbo, Seafood Boil, and Pizza! The food was
surprisingly really good for theme park standards!
🍻After eating and drinking your fill, you can then enjoy some fun rides after like 'The Demon rollercoaster' and 'Psycho Mouse'
(which are still my favorite rides after all these years)!

The food was alright. I liked a few sandwiches from their savoury items such as the basil pine nut pesto, bocconcini cheese in a croissant w dried cured tomatoes and the lemon herb mascarpone, cucumber & arugula sandwich. From their sweet items I only enjoyed their mango cake and lychee dome cake.
As for the tea I ordered:
Mango Green - mango flowers, mango, apple pieces and marigold flowers
Ginger Turmeric - lemongrass, fennel, rose petals, ginger, apple cinnamon and licorice
Heavenly Cream (one of their popular tea and also my favourite one too!) - exceptionally smooth, notes of creamy vanilla and bergamot
Service was good. The staff checked in regularly to refill our teas. But, on a side note the place was very noisy, so definitely not a good choice to have a quiet relaxing afternoon tea here 😔

Found a nice cafe in the West (within King Albert Park) - @the_m_plot that serves a variety of macarons (big or small) alongside teas! Not a big fan of macarons but the macarons (two that we ordered) at @the_m_plot were so darn good! Flavour wasn’t overwhelming and they were not overly sweet. Definitely coming back here again! Oh yes, nice and quiet place to chill too!

Flavour: Jalapeño Cheddar
Place of Origin: Boulder, Colorado
Flavour: A cheesy jalapeño smell bursts out of the packet but the flavour is pleasantly more mild. Tastes like a well-aged cheddar that is quite creamy and this definitely overpowers the jalapeño at first. The jalapeño flavour, however, is the stronger after taste, and lingered in my my mouth for over an hour after consumption.
Texture/crunch: Amazing crunch factor and just a pretty darn good chippo. Kettle-cooked to perfection!
Would I seek these out: Most likely, although I think I would try another flavour of the same variety before choosing this one again. Thanks to my lab mate, Jake, for bringing these into work for us to inhale.
Ayer fue la cena maridaje La Terna donde se unieron @muburgerhouse, @corazonde_mar y @arroz_asiansnack, el maridaje fue hecho con Mezcal Gracias a Dios y diferentes cervezas artesanales.
El primer plato fue un dúo de entradas, un chicharrón preparado (Corazon de Mar) con camarón encurtido y aguacate , la segunda preparación fue coliflor a la parrilla (Mu) con chutney de pimiento tatemado y puré de aguacate. Maridado con un exquisito cóctel "mi dios el mango" a base de mezcal Gracias a Dios. Este fue mi tiempo favorito, TODO estaba tremendamente delicioso. 🔝✨
🍔🍔🍔 Para los platos principales hubo tres hamburguesas, La del Mar (Corazón de Mar), con mejillones en escabeche, puré de manzana y mostaza Dijon con chips de papa, maridada con una cerveza Guerrero de Mundo Maya (notas cítricas). Después llegó una de Chencho asiático (Arroz Asian Snack) una hamburguesa con lomo de cerdo con bbq coreano y deliciosa tempura de zanahoria y cebolla, maridada con una cerveza Harry Polanco de Wendlant (notas a caramelo tostado), por último llegó La Mole (Mu Burgerhouse) una deliciosa hamburguesa frita, con ate de guayaba, queso y sofrito criollo, con un espejo de mole y betabel a la brasas, maridada con una cerveza Corazón Negro de Calavera, esta cerveza está elaborada con chiles y mezcal de Mezcal Desaire que le dan un sabor intenso, aromatizado y con notas a chocolate ¡deliciosa!
El postre fue una Sorpresa oriental de chocolate, un bizcocho salado bañando en chocolate con wasabi y trocitos de pitahaya, maridado con un mezcal de olla de Gracias a Dios.
Esperamos que hayan más cenas colaboraciones como estas, donde la creatividad es el ingrediente principal. Ya me dieron ganar de ir a visitar Corazón de Mar y Arroz Asian Snack. ✨😋🤩

Thank you @seattlefoodieadventure for hosting this delicious tasting! Last time I was at Udon was exactly a year ago and I sadly left after hardly touching my disappointing bowl of Niku Udon. However, I decided to take up on Steven's invitation to udon again and I was not disappointed. I finally got the chance to try creamy Udon for the first time and it met my expectations. Tastes exactly how I pictured it. A little bland in my opinion but nonetheless still delicious. The salmon was a little overdone for my liking. I had to break it up and mix it in with my Udon because it was so dry but everyone else seemed to be okay with it. I probably just got a bad piece. Pro tip: always order a small or medium because Udon is super filling. The tempura also went super well with the udon. I honestly can't picture an udon meal without tempura now. Overall, I'm happy to say I don't regret giving U:DON a second try and would 100% come back!
If you ever see me sad, just smack me with some food. I wont even care that you smack me. Im fed.

Healthy Nutella!! Recipe by @nourishmybliss 🍫🌰 __
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup melted cacao butter
4 tbsp pure cacao powder
1/2 cup plant milk
A pinch of salt
Roast the nuts until fragrant - rub in a towel until the skin comes off as much as possible. Transfer them to your blender or food processor and blend until you’re left with a smooth nut butter (this might take a while and you might have to stop in between to scrape down the sides but it’s so worth it! Be patient ❤️). Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Scoop into an airtight container and enjoy!

마라닭발이 좀 더 맵고 콩나물 들어가면 좋았겠지만(한신닭발에 너무 익숙해져버린 입맛때문일 수도!)맛자체는 좋았고, 국물에 밥비벼먹으니 꿀맛이었다.
주인공인 마라탕도 매우 맛있고, 꿔바로우는 찹쌀 그득그득하규 바삭해서 재방문의사 매우 有!!!다음엔 가지튀김도 도전해볼랍니당.
아!여기 마라탕은 셀프바가 아니라 9천원에 알아서 요리돼서 나오고, 셋팅도 음층나게 깔끔해서 마라탕 입문자나 데이트할 때 강려크추천!!!!!
