I want to tell you a story that means a lot to me. This is the story about how I discovered essential oils, but it’s also the story of how I connected with the kind of friends I always dreamed of having. .
I get asked sometimes, “how did you get into this business?” And the answer is really odd. See, many people assume that I was super interested in living naturally. I wasn’t. I had a Taco Bell addiction and I wore drugstore makeup and shopped fast fashion, so yeah, no. I was not seeking out essential oils AT ALL. People also assume that I was just looking for a way to make money, but guess what? I had 4 jobs already! Soooo not really. And then of course some assume that maybe I have a background in health, which I do not...I was an art major.
Truthfully, I came into this business kicking and screaming but as someone who needed healing and had discovered a community of people who wanted to help me do it. They did not judge me for my Taco Bell addiction. They did not lecture me on the horrors of shopping at department stores or make me feel shitty for not understanding their spiritual practices. These people looked me in the eye and saw that I wanted to feel better, the kind of great feeling I knew existed within me somewhere and I wished existed more often. They knew that as I learned what it means to feel good, I would also learn about eating better and shopping better and being more conscious. The first step was me getting better though, and it involved gut-healing supplements and oils. And it worked for me. It REALLY helped. And it’s still helping.
I started my blog and my Instagram as a way to chronicle what I learn about nontoxic living, and feeling good, and ethical business. I hope this is resonating with you, and I really appreciate you for following me ❤️
My sweet baby Sheldon has certainly come a long way since March when he was so sick that he was losing appendages from infection and subsisting on subcutaneous fluids after being found in a ditch and brought to my mom’s shelter. I’m so glad that my mom didn’t listen to the naysayers and have him put down. This boy is happy, heathy, spoiled (I cook chicken for him twice a day), and has years of life left in him. #chihuahuasofinstagram#rescuedogsofinstagram#beforeandafterrescue#spoileddog#glowup
Happy Fathers Day to all Dads out there! 😘 .
As you know I am massive fan of #kbeauty and #jbeauty and some of my favourite products of all times are from that side of the world. When @skinsider_uk kindly offered me to try @lagomkorea it took me no time to accept. Skinsider is an London based online store that offers carefully curated Korean beauty product. Karolina and her team spend a lot of time researching ingredients, solutions and products, to feature only best on their website.
Lagom has been created in cooperation with Korean makeup guru Go Won Hye and use AQUALICIA technology that is entrapping water, distributing it and limiting the water loss. It helps restore and protect skin from enviromental stressors.
I have been using the SPF and the toner since they arrived and this are my first impressions:
🌞Lagom Cellus Sun Gel SPF 50 PA+++ - despite the name it is very lightweight cream gel texture that sinks in fast and leaves no whitecast. It is chemical sunscreen that is ideal for my dry skin. Is has a very mild scent that is pleasant and dissipates quickly. It layers well under make up and leaves skin moisturised but not greasy at all. I love the fact that is SPF 50 , PA +++ which equals to PPD 8-16 and I just wish it had slightly higher PPD to be my everyday sunscreen while I use actives such as Retinol and acids. 😍 💧 Lagom Cellus Mist toner exceeded my expectations, it is very hydrating toner that balances ph level, its ingredients such as mornings extract , camellia leaf extract, yeast amnio acids, betaine and sugar cane extract hydrate , nourish and protect from enviromental stressors. I have been loving this toner and used it all up. I will definitely be purchasing it in future 😍
. All Lagom products are available at @skinsider and range within £20-£30 mark. When you spend over £20 the shipping is free within UK , You can also get 10% off your first order that will arrive beautifully packed. .
Have wonderful Sunday friends!😘
