Encore Rehabilitation-Dothan is proud to give a shoutout to our very own Physical Therapist Bonnie Yesian on the completion of her 13th Boston Marathon Run! Way to go, Bonnie! “I’ve been running since 1994 and started training for my first marathon in 2000. Since then I’ve completed 25 marathons along with numerous half marathons and shorter distance runs. I have now completed 13 Boston Marathons. Other races have included the New York Marathon; Chicago Marathon; California International Marathon (Sacramento); St. George Marathon; Houston Marathon; and Austin Marathon. I obviously like the sport but even more than that, I’ve loved all the extra benefits and unexpected life lessons running has taught me over the years. I’ve met the most amazing people and lifelong friends through running. I hope to continue as long as the good Lord allows me to run!” ~ Bonnie Yesian, PT

Tornare dalla #Patagonia è difficile.
Mancano gli spazi.
Manca il vento.
Mancano i silenzi.
The next Phoenix to jump on board our London bus is Sara Bayliss
This will be her second Marathon as she decided to run the 2018 @runrocknroll Liverpool after completing the mini-Vale in 2017. Sara got in to London 2019 via the Joe Public ballot, and only on her second attempt! Her attraction to London - its iconic and a good way of seeing the sights
Sara is running for @cr_uk as a charity that is close to her heart. Having gotten into running and completing the 2014 Cardiff Half Marathon, Sara herself was diagnosed with this cruel disease causing her to miss the 2o15 race, and not only does she now not miss it, she has gone on to a successful recovery. Running for Cancer Research was a last minute decision, but one she made as she wanted to give something back. Especially as most people have been touched by this cruel disease at some point in their lives
Sara doesn't have a target, and is going to take on the sights. She will celebrate by driving home for a shower before looking forward to her next events
Her journey to London has been good by her own admission. She's had a few virus hiccups, and an injured Glute, but it's all been OK and the better weather has certainly helped
Good Luck Sara

I am currently in the loft and came across @southcoastrunner London marathon medal from 2012 in a artistic frame we created.. .
I tried to iron out the metal sheet but it melted, lesson learnt there.
Last years training didn’t go to plan, so his place was moved to this year. I couldn’t be prouder of all the effort he’s put it over the last 16 weeks! I know he’s going to absolutely smash it this time round! Roll on next week 🙌🏼 I can’t wait to see what time you produce & I’ll be waiting at the finish line for you 🍺
When I have a super tight schedule this weekend where sleep is the only option.....I woke up still being able to get some in........... I put in 2 quick miles at my above average pace
Takie odosobnione 😜. Bo przecież "luźna noga to pojęcie incydentalne" 😀

This is my father crossing the London Marathon finish line in 1991. During the race he was on target for a 2:45 but completely blew up in the last couple of miles and just about dragged himself over the line in a still incredible time of 2:52 (though adjusting for no timing chips back then and the wait to get over the start line, it was a 2:50 on his watch).
You can see the pain and relief etched into his face after what must have felt like going to hell and back.
My mother was pregnant with me at the time, I like to think I was there for this performance even in fetal form. After my birth I attended many running events over the years to watch him race. He never again ran the marathon quite as fast as that day in 1991.
Running is a long and steady journey but a passionate one.
Running is in my blood, I’ll run until I die, and Jog On is an expression of that passion. It’s been downloaded thousands of times so thank you for listening, and your feedback. We will continue upwards. Live, run and never quit.
We will have 6 aid stations along the course. Each aid station will have Water, Gatorade & cups. This will be the last year we will offer cups at the stations. In 2020 each participant will need to bring a handheld or backpack to refill at the stations. Owner, Tabetha is currently running a piece of a cross-country (literally) marathon to raise money for MS. She has completed 4 days and 112.6 miles as of yesterday! Today will bring another 2000 ft of elevation and another 28 miles. Keep going, Tabetha, you got this!!!

Right on Hereford, left on Boylston. Time to throw your hands up. It’s mandatory. Soak it all up on the 4 blocks you run down Boylston St. Running Boston is a privilege and it will be over before you know it. This is the crown jewel of marathons. It doesn’t get any better than this. While this was my 4th time crossing the coveted Boston Marathon finish line, it never gets old. This was my hardest fight to the finish. I let the crowds carry me through the pain in my legs, the dehydration & heat and let the emotion take over. Truly just running from my heart and thankful for the opportunity to be here again. I will never, ever take this feeling for granted. If you’re chasing the unicorn, don’t give up and keep fighting. It will be worth all the sacrifice. I can’t wait until next year!💙💛
Running has truly changed my life 😍 Share your photos with us and we will post them in our account. I’ve learned to love, accept and embrace my Alopecia and bald head, my now favorite thing about me. I love the feeling of running down the open road. There is just something about just me and pavement that makes me feel strong, empowered and beautiful. Running in itself is tough, hard work and demanding” (📷: @lindsayhannah3)
