Ya me too. Or I used to be. I like to think I’m recovering, or at least working real hard at it. Trying to be realistic about what I can and what I CAN’T do. That’s right CAN’T DO. •
While listening to one of my morning commute books I had this tragic realization that my constant need to do all the things all of the time with 0 hesitation is slowly wearing me down. Like OBVIOUSLY Marissa. Light bulb. •
You can’t do all of the things. I can’t do all of the things. It’s unrealistic and unfair to anyone to pretend like we can. So why do we constantly overwhelm and overbook ourselves? We wouldn’t do that to someone we love why do we do it to ourselves. •
So I’m learning to say No. Growth.
This is a big mood🙆🏼♀️ What is fitness for you?? For me it is making a mind / body connection. It is about becoming stronger and more able to use my body. Would it be cool to have a 6 pack? Ya man. I also think having that extra cookie that feeds my SOUL is just as important. Being body positive but also into fitness can feel like a double edged sword. At the end of the day, I know my body is stronger and my mind is at peace. Becoming obsessed with either end of the spectrum can be damaging, find a balance and be confidant💕✌🏼

We were speaking about a society where instant gratification is the engine that sucks everyone in; alluding to an idea of happiness that can’t be found in tangible materials. Whats the 🔑 to feeding your soul? •
Love: Everything we think has the power to manifest through energy. Every thought whether negative or positive affects our life/being, one way or another. The love for myself, friends and family is one of the main ingredients to feed the soul. •
Nourishment: What tastes good (fast food) isn't always good for you, we sometimes have to learn this the hard way (diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, etc.). Its a struggle but it all goes hand in hand (for me) nourishing the body allows me to nourish the mind, which allows me to nourish my soul, the right way. People be feeding their ego and starving their soul. “Let food be thy medicine and medicine thy food.” •
Spirituality: This is something you can’t hear or see, who feels it knows. The more I continue to spread this love, put my heart in my music, the more I will nourish myself and continue to satisfy my soul, maybe yours too - belly full but im hungry. •
