LONG STORY: My great-grandfather was a true outdoorsman. He made a living building cabins on the lake in Indiana, trapping animals, and selling furs. He was an avid hunter and even better fisherman. Most of his hunting was done with a .222 and a 30-30 lever action. My dad inherited several of his rifles. Fast forward to when I was in middle school, and my dad had taken in a struggling kid - my childhood best friend. This kid was living with my dad to get out of a bad situation at home and one day when my dad came up to Austin to visit me at school, my childhood friend broke into the house with his friends and stole many things including my great-grandfather’s guns and pocket watches. We will never be able to replace the guns my great grandpa held and hunted with, but I plan to replace all of what was taken. I picked up this clean older 30-30 to begin replacing the guns.
Regenesis Outdoors exists to give kids like my former childhood friend an outlet and a mentor to support, encourage, and love them. The material things don’t matter - it is the history, intent, and attitude with which we use the material things around us to influence a younger generation and share the love of the outdoors and God’s grace for the worst of us. I hope this gun tags along in the background of many adventures with kids like my friend, and along with it, I will carry the memory of a man that started the love of the outdoors for my family. .

A #Texas mother was jailed and charged in the killing of her 3-year-old son after running him over with her SUV during a game of “chicken.”
The tragic incident happened last week at an apartment complex in Houston. It was initially believed to be an accident because the mother told police she thought she hit a speed bump while in reverse, but authorities said 26-year-old Lexus Stagg is seen on apartment complex surveillance video driving straight into her son in broad daylight.
Authorities said that Stagg was going in reverse as three of her children were running toward her SUV but then she put her 2006 Lincoln Navigator into drive and drove forward. Two of her kids jumped out the way but her 3-year-old didn’t move fast enough and he was struck. The boy passed away as a result of his injuries.
“Every parent has an obligation to protect their children, even from themselves,” said Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said. “Car’s aren’t toys and playing chicken with your kids isn’t-read more at TheShadeRoom.com.

Thank you to everyone that has been apart of this journey the last 6 months!! Our HUGE Cambodia project is blasting off in 3 DAYS, and we can barely hold in our excitement. On another note we have been given an amazing opportunity to work on a project here in Houston helping out a local title one, low income school. That being said, this project is requiring a lot of attention and Paulina is announcing that she will not be attending the Cambodia trip in order to get this project launched and ready to go by the time the Cambodia initiative is finished !! Yes Cambodia will be an absolutely amazing experience, however we have the opportunity to help out in two places simultaneously, so Houston get ready for launch of the @thehearts.co Houston projects!!!
Our second announcement is that we have a new board member @revaverma . We are so excited to have her on our team, we will be launching her bio very soon! This is who will be staying back in Houston with to launch our local initiative with @paulinapriske ❤️💙 #theheartsco
Perfect depiction of how I was this weekend with the stomach flu 😤
Today was my first day back after fighting the stomach flu all weekend.
(It was Smoothie Kings fault, not Chipotles 🙄)
Crazy how I eat Chipotle 4x a week and my stomach is fine. God punished me for changing it up and getting a smoothie 😣
Surprisingly, felt strong and had a great session!
No excuses 💪🏽
We get it Bella, Monday’s are tough for all of us...
