I deleted the ww app from my phone and holy shit what a relief I’ve felt. Counting points became obsessive, and I was feeding myself with negative thoughts if I wasn’t staying within my points for the day, and it triggered and brought up a whole lot of crap and issues with food for me. Mentally it was just not doing me any good and I’ve been negative and sad more often than not.
Trying to eat more intuitively and not restrict or label things as ‘bad’, working hard on healing my mind right now and being nicer to myself.

Feeling a little scare about posting this, lol not really sure I want my before picture out there if I’m being honest. First let me say this is not my absolute before picture, this was AFTER I lost 18 pounds and kinda  got stuck, so I decided to do beach bodies “Meltdown 100” program. So this first picture was just 20 days ago, 13 workout (I’ve missed a few 😭). And honestly I’m just so proud of myself. My scale hasn’t moved much but I have lost over an inch off my hips and waist, 2 inches off my chest, almost an inch off my arms, and I’m literally seeing it everywhere! Looking at this progress photo has me soooo pumped to see where I’m at at the end of these 100 workout ❤️❤️❤️.

I slept like a rock last night! Even I was amazed…and I’m about to get real as to why. Something was bugging my DH yesterday, and I could tell. After 36 1/2 years, you know. I asked him several times during the day what it was and…”Nothing”. Well, right before bedtime, he let ‘er rip. Right. Before. Bed. 😳 I wanted that to sink in because you know how you usually sleep (or not!) when you’re agitated right before bed?? And it turns out that it was something I did that had been bugging him!

Last year I left my steady job to give this dream of mine a fair chance. Teaching yoga, and now Pilates full time. I was thrilled and terrified at the same time. .
There was so much room for failure. So much uncertainty, but God had a plan. 
He planted a seed within me a VERY long time ago, letting me know I was meant to be a movement teacher. .
He knew exactly where I thrive the most. I can now say I had the best year ever professionally! .
It wasn’t always easy, we all have bad days, no matter how much you love your job. But, knowing I get to do what I love every day, teach with compassion, and make an impact in people’s lives, is the biggest reward ever! .
This year taught me so much, and cannot wait to learn more in the future.

▶️Chop 1 lb chicken breast into 1 inch cubes. Add to a ziplock bag. Add 1/4 cup tapioca starch to the bag. Close and shake to coat the chicken.⁣
▶️Mix 2 cups orange juice, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1/4 cup coconut aminos, 1 tbsp ginger paste, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp chili paste (optional) in a bowl to form a sauce.⁣
▶️Add chicken to instant pot and sauté in 1 tbsp olive oil for a few minutes to form a crust.⁣
▶️Add sauce and pressure cook on high for 15 minutes.⁣
▶️Let pressure naturally release, remove top, and serve how ya like!⁣

A reminder for all our #mindfulnessmonday tips is to be patient and gradually build. Once you’ve caught your child’s interest in mindfulness, you can gradually build your practice together. How to get better sleep?

There’s definitely things we can do, throughout the day and pre-bed to make sure we are getting restful sleep. ☕️ Caffeine can stay elevated in the blood for 6-8 hours, try reducing caffeine intake in the early afternoon. ☀️ Wake and sleep at consistent times. As the sleep/wake cycle is determined by the ‘circadian rhythm’ which acts as a loop- making sure that your sleep schedule is regular helps with sleep hormone production. 🥘 
Along with this cycle is eating, making meal times regular helps the circadian rhythm. 🍶 
There are some supplements that can help with sleep, make sure you are consulting with a Nutritionist or health care professional who can guide you. ♥️ Magnesium in particular is involved in 600+ processes in the body. It can help with brain, heart, and skeletal muscles and relaxation for sleep. Reference below. 🛁 
A warm, relaxing shower or bath can help. As the body cools down (on exiting the bath/shower) this is the same physiology of cooling that the body stimulates to go to sleep- it can trick your brain into relaxing and preparing for bed. If you don’t have a bath, a foot soak can elicit the same response. 🏃 
Exercise is one of the most research supported ways of improving sleep. Just not too late in the day.

Hey 👋 you guys :)) Doing my morning #yoga and #meditation and you know to make decisions in your life, it  can be hard to understand “am I following my #mind, am I following my #heart, am I following my gut?” It’s not easy, but it is completely worth it to develop your #intuition.
Which is really following that #gutfeeling, you know most #psychics, or people who are empaths, the gut is the highest.
Then you know the heart can be tricky because you have to clear through a lot of your own aberrations, or feelings of pain and suffering that might not be exactly what is going on.
So, then there’s the mind, and the mind can get you stuck in past loops. So it’s really coming into a full mind, body, #spirit balance. That balance takes years, it takes effort, it takes a lot of #practice and it takes not being afraid, and being willing to make mistakes. I always say your gonna have to trust yourself, so you might as well start now.

Day 85: A little all over the place today, but I got it done. Something just wasn't feeling right with my foot, so after 2 miles on the elliptical I decided to move to the treadmill. That still wasn't feeling right. Our coach said when it needs to happen, we can bike our miles, you just need to double the distance. So, finished things out on the bike. Ready for a rest day tomorrow!!
