Diet? What diet!? 🥖🧀🍷
He’s my timid, sweet, caring and cautious little guy.. This is his final week of swim lessons for the summer and although this may seem so easy for others this was a big step for him..he is PETRIFIED of the diving board but with the help of an amazing instructor he got up on that thing and walked all the way to the edge..he couldn’t get the courage to jump in but I am extremely proud of him.. This may seem silly for some that a kid his size and age is so scared but that’s my Cole..always so cautious..and I’m ok with that..I know he’ll jump off that thing someday and I’ll be just as proud as I was today ❤️ #lovemyboys#swimlessons

A haute-couture wine estate and merchant in the heart of the Burgundy winegrowing region, let’s talk about Olivier Leflaive Frères!
Just after the First World War, Olivier’s grandfather, Joseph Leflaive was faced with the failure of his steel factory in Saint-Etienne. His investments in Burgundy were all he had left and he decided to enlarge his wine estate. It became a family-run operation covering some 35 hectares. His son, Joseph Régis, was in insurance and along with his brother Vincent, decided to take over the reins in 1953. The estate soon began producing top-flight wines, mainly due to the arrival of air conditioning in Puligny in the 1970’s. This was a major step for winemakers in this village which sits two meters above the water table and as such, had no underground cellars!
Like most Chardonnay’s, expect citrus and tree fruit notes (lemon, orange zest, apricot, green apple, etc), less on the buttery side but still maintains a nice medium to long fade with subtle stone fruit notes.
Other wines you should try if you enjoy Chardonnay: Marsanne, Roussanne, Savatiano, Trebbiano Toscano and Viognier!

The hand etched label on one of our 2016 large format bottles. Just completed today. The etching is in the negative. In other words, the background is what is etched and then hand painted white. The tree is the untouched bottle. These etchings are reserved for our magnums and double magnums and will be released next month. Forgive the image quality as it was sent to us directly from the etcher. However, we were anxious to share it with you.
Feeling festive with so much to celebrate! >> Our 50th anniversary of growing premium wine grapes, the 30th anniversary of our expansion into Napa Valley with our Oakview Vineyard (home of our inaugural Cabernet!) and the 20th anniversary our of pioneer planting of Roberts Road Vineyard in the Petaluma Gap. Never thought to get such a large fan base. Thank you to all of you to follow my wine glass all over the world.
The story of Mascarello family goes back to the 1800s. Since then, they have been involved in viticulture, first by cultivating the vineyards of the noble Marchesa Giulia Colbert Faletti di Barolo. But in the late 1800s, they established their own winery and started producing their wines.
Acquiring Monprivato, a vineyard located in Castiglione Falletto, was crucial to their success. In this exceptional site, the vines enjoy a southwest exposure, and are planted at around 288 metres above sea-level in white and grey marl soils rich in limestone.
Today the winery is run by Mauro Mascarello, the fourth generation of the family. And like his grandfather, Mauro is a traditionalist who works with long fermentations and aging in large old casks.
But Mauro has also made an important contribution to the family’s estate.
In 1979, he started to vinify the grapes grown on each single vineyard separately in order to offer the unique expression of every single vineyard. He started from Monprivato, the 6.25 ha vineyard his visionary grandfather Maurizio acquired in 1904. #drinkstories
What an incredible, superb wine, this 1964 Castillo YGAY Gran Reserva Especial from Marques de Murrieta. Bottled from barrique in 1993 and kept another 5 years in bottle before beeing sold, this giant in the making needed a lot of additional years to really unfold. My first bottles in the last decade were quite disappointing, not as mediocre as Parkers 83/100 rating, but I had expected more. But this bottle here a few days ago that I brought for a good friend born in 1964 was completely different. What a majestic wine with a brilliant, deep, young color, superb, spicy dark fruit, wild herbs, tobacco and good minerality, so incredibly deep, complex and very long on the palate - WT96+. Very elegant and balanced with enormous potential, a great wine for decades to come. This is classic Rioja winemaking, a unique wine that reminded me of the legendary 1925 Castillo YGAY and might come close in quality in one or two decades. Not to be missed.
🍷BIBI GRAETZ: WHEN WINE MEETS ART 🖼
Bibi Graetz is among the most famous italian winemakers, defined as one of the rising stars of Tuscany. Its wines come from vineyards located on the hills of fiesole that overlook the city of florence. Painter, son of a sculptor, of cosmopolitan origins, for about ten years he has dedicated himself to his great passion for wine. Around the "Castello di Vincigliata" lie the vineyards and the cellar.
Bibi manages to create magnificent wines, with the inspiration of the great artists and the rigor of true artisans.
Drinking Testamatta 2010 is a fairytale journey, which starts from the aesthetic beauty of the labels - true works of art- and continues sip by sip with wines that give off a typicality of the vine and territory that amazes and surprises, making them infinitely enjoyable.
Have you ever tried any Bibi Graetz wine?🤔
