We’re so pleased with our bedside drawers 😍. We decided to go for floating shelves rather than bedside cabinets... for some reason our bedside cabinets end up rammed full of what can best be described as ‘stuff’ ..... usually as we don’t know where else to put it. We have the luxury of a walk in wardrobe in our new home 😁, so it can all be hidden in there and hopefully our bedroom will be an oasis of calm. My OH not only fitted them whilst I was off purchasing plants, but he fitted the plinths in the kitchen, did a quick ‘tip run’ and ticked off several other jobs from the extensive ‘to do’ list. We even started to put one of the shower enclosures in place tonight as the plumbers have said they are coming tomorrow to start 2nd fix.... please cross your fingers that we’ll have at least one working toilet by next weekend 🤞🙏🚽. Finally, I took the opportunity of a brief lull in the rain to nip down the garden to look at my plants.... I did wear my wellies and I’m mighty glad I did, as I sank 3/4 of the way up them 🙈😬.... I seem to have made rather a mess of the lawn 😂 #floatingdrawers#bedsidedrawers#plinth#wrenkitchens#footprints#mud
Meet the latest Sausage Dog purchase 🙈 I saw the planter in @aldiuk and just couldn't not buy it! I originally thought about putting it on the patio but it fits perfectly in this corner of the kitchen and the rain can't destroy it in here 😇
Kitchen nearly complete! ❤ It's been a tough 12 months for us - hubby doing up our house extension whilst both of us are working full time and with 2 young kids. But it's finally starting to take shape and I'm so pleased with how the kitchen has turned out. Just the wall tiles to do now and a bit more glossing..then it's complete! 🎉🎉🎉 A massive thank you to my hubby and also to his Dad, Bill, who has helped us to transform our house into a wonderful home. 😍 #diyhubby#kitchen#wrenkitchens#houseextension#homedecor
💜 SATURDAY 💜
Finally the weekend is here 🙌🏼 these weeks seem to be flying by and we’re on a single figure countdown until my birthday next weekend 🍾
On a mission this morning, given the kitchen a good #hinch and onto my third load of washing, anyone else just leave all their washing till the weekend until there’s a mountain to do 🤷🏼♀️
Having a chinese later so going to starve myself all day to appreciate it more later 🤩
Not The Right Time Of Day To Post
Not A Recent Photo
Not Much To Say (I will waffle though)
Not Bothered 🤷🏻♀️
I like This Photo from my unused stock so here it is
I have been abit lax recently at getting jobs done around the house and garden, and even more so at taking new photo’s.
But thats okay kind of
Id like to say oh its just Life getting in the way, busy busy and all that
And thats partially true as we have been away but that was only a few days
But really its a combination of a few things, that, that wet stuff falling from the sky affecting my desire to be outside and affecting my mood in general, my mojo to Faff, my energy levels are so low (although I possibly now know why this is following some recent blood tests and have a possible solution 🤞🏻- anyone else have Hypothyroidism ? Any experience to share please do so as I only found out this week)
And although I love a good room makeover the actual process of doing it when you have stuff everywhere I do not like.
It will all pass
And all of a sudden I will burst back into action and enjoy doing it
So until then I am just gonna relax about it
Nowt worth stressing about
Its just a photo 🙌🏻
I am more than happy to just see what you guys are upto or not if you too are like me 😜
Bring on the 🌞 please that always puts that spring back in my step or that rocket up my arse 😂
And in truth I could do with it sooner rather than later, I have Cane furniture to weather proof 😬
Any tips greatfully received 🙏🏻
Have a great weekend you lovely bunch of InteriorNuts xx
The old kitchen. I cannot even begin to explain how gross this was. The previous owners left the majority of there belongings so within a few days we ripped most of the kitchen out. After the building work started the door way was sealed up but after the coal shed was knocked down (you can see the toilet from the first picture) we were open to the elements and living on site. We split the old kitchen in half. The first part forms our new utility off the kitchen. The other half will be a wet room which we are yet to start.
Okay so not quite the completed AFTER... but look at this progress! 🤩 We have electricity and a sink/running water people! Got flooring and worktops to go in and we’re good to furnish (I could cry - decoration is the best bit) the only thing I’m struggling to decide on is silver or brass/gold handles?! (I’m favouring the latter currently) In other news it’s FRIDAY tomorrow 👍🏼
Now, they're well worn and will require a lot of work, but these two @gplandesign arm chairs are going to look awesome once restored. They need new foam throughout and the wood work sanded and treated. Our neighbours told us they originally bought them in 1954 as a wedding present to themselves. Just to think, that was only 9 years after the end of WW2!
Busy weekend of sanding and painting for us. Can’t wait to show you the progress! Not many more weekends and it will be completely finished and how we imagined since we moved in 🤗
but for now cup of tea and relax- Monday= done ✅
