Someone asked me the other day why I post pictures of me scrunching my nose all the time. Why not just take a regular picture?
And I immediately was like, whhhaattt?
So I scrolled back through my photos and was like oh ha, cute I adopted a confident little smirk in my nose 😂
It’s okay love, I only took offense for a hot minute to the fact that you had the urge to message me and try to bring me down. But then I thought, well you’re entitled to your opinion too—
But what’s even crazier is it led me to go BACK to the old me and see when this change happened—and to be honest, the second I decided to CHOOSE me and INVEST in myself that little scrunch came with.
So now every time I see it instead of saying “ugh can’t post that it might offend someone or they might judge” I remember that I worked my ass off for that nose scrunch and I’m going to rock the shit out of it.
Thanks for the MUCH needed reminder of how far I’ve come and how far I’m ABOUT to go. 🖤
BIKINI BOD SEASON IS APPROACHING OMG😱😵 Honestly i’m somewhere in the middle of 1/2 my friends who are prepping for a competition and 1/2 the accounts i follow that show cellulite with captions on loving your body as it is. .
OFCOURSE i think it’s important to love your body at all stages, but i also believe that loving your body means treating it RIGHT. So “treating yo self” to appetizers, fries, and an entree 5x a week and calling it “intuitive eating” probabaly isn’t the best way to treat your body with the love it deserves. At the same time, starving yourself and doing hours of cardio because you have a vacay coming up is ALSO not a way to care for your body. .
This post is mainly serving as a “journal entry” of sorts/my own personal reminder: YOU are so much more than that number on the scale, whether it’s high or low. YOU are so much more than your daily macro intake. YOU are so much more than your successes and your failures. Wow. .
When this pic was taken last week, I almost deleted it because i didn’t like the way my bellybutton folded over (like what?) hahaha I am my own BIGGEST critic. But, i’m working everyday to remind myself that i AM beautiful and worthy and I AM PUT HERE FOR A REASON. Even in the midst of struggles and pain and failure...I am growing and learning and becoming the person I am supoosed to be. .
So, i’m not even sure what this post was meant to be about but, if you needed a reminder, I wanted to help you know that YOU are right where you’re supposed to be, right now. Everything happens for a reason. Trust Him and trust the process, Boo❤️ .
