Last summer Kanye announced he would produce five albums (one being his own), all coming out week to week. Kids See Ghosts, his long-awaited collab with Kid Cudi (who I don’t really care for), is easily the best of the five records he produced. The beats are excellent and 100% Kanye —sampling artists like 30s/40s swing icon Louis Prima and Kurt Cobain. Like all five of his “Wyoming Sessions” albums, KSG is a very modest 7 songs and 24 minutes long. Don’t be fooled though —Kanye and Cudi somehow manage to squeeze in an average-sized album length into these hasty minutes. It makes for a quick and easy listen that’s equally enjoyable. Seems tha the trend last year was to put out really short hip-hop albums and frankly I don’t mind one bit.
