Well... running on a Saturday afternoon was not exactly my plan for a fun run. But it was then or never. I was tired, it was hot, and that is perfect combination for a tough run. Honestly, this week was mentally hard to get every single one of my runs done. But hey, at least today I earned a badge of my fastest 10K. That’s how bad I wanted to get it over with😂 6.22 miles in total and now I’m off to rest and enjoy the rest of my weekend🏃🏻♀️
My phone died before I was done. If my math is correct I finished up a little over 20 miles and I lived! I only need to do 30 more miles on 3/30 to hit the magic number of 50.
As of today I had never run more than 13 miles at one time. How did I run so much further today? I found another level in my mind and pushed past the preconceived limitations I previously had.

It took a lot of hard work but I did it!! Who would have thought I would run a half marathon in under 2 hours, yet alone to do it at 60. I never gave up on this dream - if you work hard for it you will get there. Thanks to @bevanjameseyles for believing that I would follow the plan, and @tanetui for keeping the body together, along with my physio Maraama, and my personal trainer Blossom @lesmillsnz - you guys are awesome 👏 👏😎🏃♀️
I did not stop once during this run. Not for a water break (sipped while I was in motion), not for a selfie, not to walk. My legs were still sore from my new 1RM yesterday (and the metcon!), but I set a goal to get six unbroken miles, and I met that goal!
