275lbs / 125kg 5x5 highbar. First two sets w 120kg.
Last March my highbar 1RM was 127kg so that’s neat. Thanks @chadwesleysmith for really pushing my squat. (...and will to live. So. Much. Volume.)

#squattherapy I started following this insta account which has some great content and education about squats, one of the big three compound weight lifts. I always include squats in everyone's program, however the bar position and/or weight each client can carry, and also how they can carry that weight can be quite individual. I have clients returning from back surgery, have bad knees, have limited ankle mobility, weak core strength, weak length stength, lower back pain, limited shoulder movement, different limb lengths,... the list goes on. But all can perform a squat of some variation. It's certainly a beneficially functional movement, and one that when performed correctly and taking into account the individuals stengths and weaknesses can be of great benefit to their desired stength and aesthetic results. #squat#squatlowbar#highbar#frontsquat#compoundlift#functionalfitness#bestbodyprojecta
Lifts today in reverse order from most hyped about to least. HB Squats went terrible. Didn’t have access to the power bar so everything just felt way off, so I called it at 407.5. Bench was solid with 300 paused, and the deed was finally done for the 6 plate dinner of 585. Can’t wait for the meet in June for my 67.5kg debut.
