Sarson ka saag and makai ki roti ..... gud ke chaawal, garam garam choley bhature, besan ka cheela, dhokla, dum ghost, mutton korma, galauti kebabs, gustaba and khamiri roti, lal maas and butter naan, gajar ka halwa, moong dal ka halwa.... anjeer ke laddoo, badam kesar doodh, bun maska, jalebi poha, daulat ki chat, aloo tikki with lots of saunth.... and Fateh ki kachori.... palak ke puri and bedwi aloo ki sabzi.... Malabar paratha and mutton sukha, kothu parantha, meen curry and kebabs with ultey tawa ka parantha..... dal baati churma and meethi lassi with malai, mutton biriyani, kosha mangsho, shukhto, prawns shorshe, pokhalo and sukhwa; kheer, mutton pasanda, dum pukht biriyani ... it’s an endless list! .
This is just the tip of the ice berg. Variety is all you will find here in India. Every state comes with its own cuisine. So much love and so much self pampering. I have loved and relished all this for years before I went gluten free! I still manage a few pieces here and there... now, I love to feed and treat my loved ones with all this whenever I can! .
Over the many years of incessant travelling, I have grown to love local food from different parts of the country. I have not only tried them but relished them day after day without fail. It’s been a learning. It’s been a discovery. It’s
also been my comfort food. This is the food I love. This is my love story! .
P.S - 0.1 - Some of the best ideas we have conceptualised over the years have been over a feast. Some of the best conversations and most interesting discussions over target vs achievement was also over delicious spreads of sinfully lip smacking food!!!! .
P. S - 0.2 - I guess I have many a love story to write home about. Sarees, food, animals, music, radio, shawls, nature, wild life, jungles.... and yada yada yada! This too is a long list! Damn these love stories I say!! 😈😜
It’s interesting to me that a lot people seem to want to make things more difficult than they have to be. Myself included at times.
For example, not to knock Keto or Paleo or weight watchers or calorie counting or whatever kind of dieting fad that seems to be of interest to you. They certainly work & will continue to work for some people. But maybe those diets don’t work for you. Maybe a different idea, a more simpler approach, would be better. What works for 1 person has been proven over and over again that it may not work for another.
It’s why I think most people don’t actually stick to those diets long term.
🤔Think about it...Who actually wants to count & track the calories of every single little thing they put into their mouth for the rest of their life?? I don’t..& won’t.
💯Only crazy people, legitimately crazy people will do that. Kudos to them. But 99.9% of people have no interests in doing that. -
🙅🏼♂️If you pay attention, you’ll notice that every “diet” seems to have some form of restriction tied to it. It’s taking things out. Telling us we can’t have certain things.
👉🏼Keto wants us to take out off carbs.
👉🏼Paleo wants us to keep it old school & take out processed foods.
👉🏼Calorie Counting wants to tell us when to stop and say no more.
🍓Recently I was reminded of a more simpler solution. @bestrongblono owner, Drew, gave me this simple lesson.
Here’s what he told me.
👉🏼Sometimes the answer to your “dieting” problem is less about what you take *out* of your everyday eating habits. But more attuned to just putting more good *in*.
💋So when in doubt, Keep. It. Simple. Put More greens In, More lean protein In, & More fruit into your body and good things will happen.
I think this lesson can be applied to everything in life. Focus less on taking out the negative. And more on putting the positive in. Fitness & life intertwine pretty easily like that sometimes.

How suite it is. Hotel workout. 300 pushups with diamonds and some attempts at handstands. Then pool and hot tub. Tomorrow is going to be one of the most stressful days of my life so to be honest, I'm trying to appear happy, motivated, and get a workout in to alleviate funk. On our second snow ❄️ day here in Durham, North Carolina. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I #LOVE snow days in the South. I don’t recall ever having a snow day growing up in Wyoming.
Listening to my tired, old, snow dog snore while working on a writing assignment & texting with friends. Going to warm up some more homemade, vegetable soup & make another cup of vegan hot cocoa with @plantcenteredprep’s recipe.
