KNEES CAVING IN DURING SQUATS? TRY THESE POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS!

What’s up, Achievers?! @laurenpak22 here and today we’re talking about when your knees want to cave in as you lower down or come up from a squat. Now, contrary to popular belief, your knees won’t burst into flames if this happens to you - it’s can actually be quite natural for them to come in a bit as you come up from your squat. You might notice that some Olympic lifting athletes find it actually advantageous to strive for a little inward motion during the ascent of their squats.

What we don’t want to see is *excessive* caving in of the knees - especially when it forces other structures like your feet and your lower back to have compensatory motion. When this happens, you have a lot of reduced leverage to push down into the floor with and just presents with a lot of opportunity for energy leaks.

Some common areas you could focus on to address this are ankle mobility, trunk stability, hip stability and awareness, and modifying the exercise a bit. Now, we give you some example drills for each of these categories, but you can use the mobility or stability drill of your choice in each category. You don’t have to stick to the ones that we’ve outlined.

COLLAGEN ‼️ Is it worth the hype? I’m partial on this one. There are SO many products on the market that are expensive & claim to do amazing things for our bodies, so you really have to choose your selection wisely. For me, collagen has been great and worth the $ spent (particularly for my skin). HOWEVER, if I was not in my current skin sitch I probably wouldn’t buy it (especially when balling on a budget). Apologies for the shitty squat angle 😥 can't win em all. BUT the good news is I peaked out at 355x6. 
I've also started replacing Front Squats with Pause Squats to get more comfortable with depth and being in the hole. This is the last full 5/3/1 cycle before my very first #powerlifting meet with @southernpowerliftingfederation. Finished this off with some light Prowlers to get in some conditioning.

Este movimiento para mi es muy especial porque requiere de mucha #flexibilidad capacidad física que necesita mucho tiempo y pasciencia porque para muchos no es algo que te da tanta #emocióndeportiva cuando lo haces.

Decidi hacerlo con menos de mi 70% prefiero tener mejor técnica y dinamismo a buscar pesos pesados que salgan feos.

Elson und Aspinal (2008) zeigten, was für Trainer, die tatsächlich (Online Trainer powered by YouTube University sollten sich somit nicht angesprochen fühlen) Menschen zusammenarbeiten, enorm offensichtlich ist - es gibt große Unterschiede im Bewegungsbereich der Hüftbeugung und -streckung. Manche Leute können leichter tief Kniebeugen, andere werden in dieser tiefen Position krepieren, egal welchen Gandalf Mobility Trick du rauf und runter versuchst. 
Lamontagne et al. (2009) untersuchten Menschen mit femorazetabulärem Impingement-Syndrom (FAI) und Kniebeugefähigkeit und kamen zum Schluss, dass aufgrund anatomischer Variationen an der Hüfte wie Nocken oder Zangen, es viele Lifter gibt, die nie in der Lage sind, mit geeigneter Form tief zu beugen.

D'Lima et al. (2000) zeigten, dass Unterschiede in der Dicke des Oberschenkelhalses / Kopfes die Hüftbeuger-ROM um 1,5 bis 8,5 Grad beeinflussen können. 
Wenn du als Trainer oder Privatperson einen anderen Menschen dazu forcierst,  parallel Ass to Gras zu beugen, kann das unter Umständen Körperverletzung sein. Du zwingst der Person womöglich Knochen auf den Knochen oder auf Hüftgelenk Abreibung. Die einzigen Leute, die parallel beugen müssen, sind Powerlifter, weil es eben ihr Sport ist. Wieviele der Ausführenden der aktuell stark trendigen Breitensportart Powerlifting grundsätzlich morphologisch für langfristiges Powerlifting gebaut sind, das diskutieren wir in einem anderen Post. In Bezug auf alle anderen Sportler gibt es kein Regelwerk, das besagt, dass sie parallel oder darüber hinaus beugen müssen - es ist weder eine Anforderung noch wird es die Leistung beeinträchtigen.

Die Fähigkeit, sich in verschiedenen Haltungen in verschiedenen Höhen zu hocken, lässt sich sehr häufig durch die Skelettstruktur erklären - NICHT notwendigerweise geweglichkeits/gewebe/ansteuerungs- oder kraftbezogen. 
Jedem tiefe Kniebeugen aufzudrücken ist nicht klug. Du solltest aber anstreben, klug zu agieren. Tu es.

É óbvio que NÃO, os dados apenas mostram a superioridade da musculação, e não que os outros não servem pra nada.
Até porque, o importante inicialmente é tirar as pessoas do sedentarismo e depois, durante uma natural evolução, podemos selecionar atividades que propiciam maiores resultados.
Ah, mais um “detalhe”, o próprio treino de MUSCULAÇÃO, sugerido pelo estudo como o MAIS EFETIVO, é bem diferente do que costumo ver nas academias, mas isso será assunto para um próximo texto.

The reasoning behind this for me was for a couple reason, for months I was back squatting and started to feel my progression in the lift come to a plateau, with no end goal in mind of competition, switching exercises for me has been a great new addition to my programming, not only have I been feeling better physically, my quads have started to grow a lot more due to the switch in loading. Front Squats, give em a shot🤙🏽

Ich hoffe, dass euer Wochenende nach Plan verläuft. Bei mir stand vorhin die zweite #Pusheinheit diese Woche an. Das #Training lief gut, nur leider fehlte es heute etwas an #Motivation. Aber auch solche Tage muss es in der #Diät mal geben. Passend dazu mal ein Bild aus meiner #Vorbereitung letztes Jahr. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war mit mir wirklich nicht mehr viel anzufangen.. Um so einen Zustand zu vermeiden und unter der Berücksichtigung, dass es sich bei meiner momentanen Diät nicht um eine #Wettkampfvorbereitung handelt, habe ich beschlossen, in einem regelmäßigen Abstand #Refeeds mit in den #Ernährungsplan einzubauen. 
Morgen steht dann also zum #Pulltraining zusätzlich eine große Portion #Carbs auf dem Programm.
