Edit: in order to address some questions I’ve had please refer to my thoughts about this shirt below -
I think that this shirt, which is something I found on the internet today rather than someone I purchased myself, is a conversation starter for bigger issues rather than something I actually believe anyone needs exclusively to try and make a point - especially as it would be a short-sighted point. Parenting and teaching is much more complicated than this and cannot be simplified into thinking it’s just a matter of parents ‘stepping up’, that teachers work harder than parents, or even shaming parents as an entire group to ‘do better’. Regardless of who students have at home to support them, teachers and guardians alike work together tirelessly to make sure our children are happy, healthy and successful. With all that being said I think it is very important, as a message extended to the public, that it is understood by all that teachers work very hard, that parents are incredibly hard working and would do anything for their children, that all parents love their children, but that it is still important to ensure that even with all this goodness going on that students, parents and educators work together to ensure things run as smoothly as possible. This message is especially important any parent who thinks that parenting is easy, or that education doesn’t matter and should increasingly rest entirely on the shoulders of educators.
🎅🏽🎄Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart🎄🎅🏽

Nothing like donuts to start the week! 😋🍩
Last week my scholars had to take so many I-Ready Mastery Checks, quizzes, tests, and so much more, between my class and my partner teacher’s class! They performed so well and did not complain once! Today, we rewarded them with some delicious donuts for simply being amazing!!

The journey doesn’t need a destination. Just maybe— it’s a better CHOICE we make each day.
I get it. It’s a tough season. Yummy treats everywhere. I’m not perfect. I don’t want to be either. I do love me some 🌮 and 🍩. YES eat the yummy real food. Also nourish your body with the nutrients it needs and workout <20-30 minutes at home> If you need step by step help like I did, what works for me will work for you. I was the girl that thought a low calorie diet and over exercising for hours was what I needed here’s the bottom line just love the girl in the mirror. She deserves it.

A great way to start the week for yourself and children is to get that heart pumping and that breath breathing. A way for children to understand the mind and body connection is to place their hand on their heart and feeling it beating. After jumping vigorously up and down on the spot, this should achieve being able to feel the heart pulsing. Take some deep inhales and deep exhales and feel the hearts pulse slow, focusing on the feeling of your heart beating through your hand. This is a great way to begin the day or to begin a class. 🐾 🐾

In the poor and rural outskirts of Kolkata young leaders bring vibrancy and enthusiasm as they learn new methods for reaching the local children. Another commendable occurrence- majority of the group was made up of non-Christians with a desire to teach in children's ministry.

”I believe we’ll be a better #Chicago when we close the degree divide for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) students. In Chicago today, 69% of CPS high school freshmen aspire to earn a four-year college degree, but projections show only 19% will achieve that dream. Our young people deserve better.” – Sarah Berghorst, executive director, @onegoalgraduation
